Free Rag Doll Patterns

From my last post you know that I have been sewing rag dolls. I would like to share the great wealth of free patterns I have found online. I would also like to thank all the people that post their patterns free and the hard work they do to create these wonderful crafts. They make it possible for others to create and give gifts that come from the heart and not the store.

Wayway was created using a free pattern called Free Rag Doll Pattern - Love at http://www.handmadedoll.co.uk/shop/index.php/free-rag-doll-pattern-download/c_22.html

This site offers some free and pay patterns They are so cute .While you are there check out the other patterns they offer

Lillie Mae's Crafts at http://www.lilliemaescrafts.com/ she has so much she offers free on her site. It is a wonderful site to look at and I can't get over the fact that she is letting people make her creations for free! Remember to follow the creator's guidelines for using her patterns meaning DON'T COPY AND CALL YOUR OWN THEN SELL THEM. That is just bad form.

I am now in the process of making another doll from one of her patterns called Primitive Annie Rag Doll Pattern .it is just the plain doll pattern with no embellishments. It's a great pattern and it was very easy to follow .For Halloween I am going to create Trick or Treat Witch! She is just too cute!! Below are a few of the dolls you will find on her site as well as other primitive goodies

You can also check out her blog for more free patterns at http://lilliemaes.blogspot.com/

Anniescupboards has several free patterns. From cute hanging cats to snowman onies check out the web site at http://www.anniescupboards.com/freesewingpatterns.htm

Crafty carnival offers some extremely cute rag doll pattern I can already see this little doll as a Goth girl or a country Halloween trick or treat kid …. But don't over look her other free patterns as well check out the image of what you can find there http://missyballance.typepad.com/crafty_carnival/2007/02/free_doll_patte.html

This is a site that had pdf patterns for rag dolls. I haven't explored it yet but thought I would include it so you can look at it for yourself

WayWay Goth Girl

WayWay Goth Girl is almost done (or finished if I keep liking her just like she is) and it took me 2 weeks to get her to tell me what she wanted to wear! I refuse to just finish something for the sake of getting it done. My projects 'talk' to me or they do not get done. So WayWay is special. She is neither to gothic nor to horror she just right!

What fun I had creating her! I was inspired whill watching Nightmare Before Christmas .I just had to make a doll!
WayWay is all hand sewed and her clothes are made with one of my daughter's shirt and left over fabric. She looks ruff, not like those Goth Barbie all perfect in their polished Goth gear (even tho I like them). She is all messy and stringy .Her hair is material that frays (love it!) With black thread and rips showing heart and stitches on her skirt. I roughly very roughly) hand sewed black thread on her skirt and shirt. Used some dark blue paint to give that worn look to the cloths and sewed up rips and before I knew it WayWay was there getting her picture took.

Now the only thing I have to decide on is weather to give her a face and shoes with socks! I am undecided on that so I will wait and look at her some more and let her tell me if she wants all that stuff.

I have fun looking up Goth rag dolls and found some I fell in love with .i have pinterest board with Goth as well as other stuff I like check it out at this link

I hope you enjoy the gothic dolls as much as I do and what better time than now! Halloween!!
